Honduran Mission 2011

This year's Honduran Mission Trip will be a little different...

The school at Flor del Campo needs money for a roof for the boy's dorm and our own Valjean has been called to spend 3 months next spring with abused girls at a safe house called She Dances.

Help supports these vital efforts in three ways:

1-Fill a can with change and return it Sunday, Aug. 7

2-Make S P A C E in your house and bring your S T U F F for the HUGE CHURCH-WIDE YARD & BAKE SALE on Saturday, July 23 and 30, 9-11.
Mark your calendar and please bake something for the sale on Saturday, August 6.
Baked goods can be brought Friday, Aug. 5 until 5 pm.

3-Mark your calendar and plan to have a Honduran Lunch in the Parish Hall after church on Sunday, Aug. 7! You can shop the remains of the yard sale and enjoy delicious Enchilada Casserole. Eat in the parish hall or carry out a fresh portion or a frozen casserole!

Matthew 25
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Holy Comforter is in its fifth year of a five-year commitment to the children of LAMB, a mission effort led by Suzy McCall in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
