The Church of The Holy Comforter in Sumter is having its annual two-day Spiritual Gifts Workshop on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 4 and 5. Friday’s session begins at 6 pm and ends at 9 pm; Saturday’s session runs from 8 am to 3 pm. The Workshop will be held in the Teaching Center of Holy Comforter’s Parish Hall.
The cost for the workshop is $25.00 which includes three meals (supper Friday night, continental breakfast Saturday morning, and lunch Saturday); Uniquely You inventory booklet; and Spiritual Gifts Workshop workbook.

The weekend is comprised of nine workshops:
DISC Personality Discovery
Trinity of Man presentation
Talents & Skills Discovery
Life Experiences/Autobiography
Passions Discovery
Spiritual Gifts Workshop
Linking Personality and Spiritual Gifts
Setting Priorities Workshop
Gift of Joy & Giftedness presentation
 
Saturday culminates with consultation time with the six presenters assisting participants in the discovery of how to use their gifts in ministry within the Body of Christ, followed by a Celebration and Impartation Service. This is a time to surrender the gifts participants have discovered God has given them that spread God’s Word, demonstrate God’s love, enable God’s work, reveal God’s will and His plans, and reveal God’s Power.
 
All discovery activities are done within small groups. Praise and worship music throughout the weekend will be led by John Martin and Linda & Arthur Wilder.
